Chicago, Here I Come! March 30, 2006

It's finally here I am leaving tomorrow afternoon to see Miranda Lambert, live in concert. And I get to chat with her for a bit afterwards So it's going to be really awesome. I'm about to start packing up my stuff, so I can get an early night. I'm not too sure if I'm going to be able to sleep though…I am truly excited as all hell.

I was at Walmart today and I noticed that they have these CMT Country Music Royalty t shirts. Well, my store just had the one…but I think I'm going to check out other stores in the area and see if the one I got is part of a range or something. I couldn't resist this shirt though. It's a Merle Haggard t-shirt, who is Miranda Lambert's favourite country singer. So I'm going to wear it tomorrow night for the concert

I just have to remember to pack my fan club pass and my ticket…lol

Urgh…I almost puked tonight. Stupid cats. I had got up from the computer desk to get a glass of water, and was on my way back when I almost put my foot in a puddle of lumpy cat sick. Yuck. I am not a fan of cleaning up human puke, never mind animals… I feel like I don't want to eat anything ever again…I'll probably lose five pounds after that episode.

Friday I am going to finally get my chance to see and meet Miranda Lambert. I'm going on a road trip with some friends from Green Bay. It's only Chicago, so it's not that far, but still. I'm going out with some friends…who don't know my husband or any of my family…my OWN friends! Woohoo! And I don't have to take Abby along for the rode either…or the diaper bag and it's various attachments :p Just me, some cash, an overnight bag for the hotel, some cash, the camera and the GameBoy. It's going to be excellent to get out by myself for a change…I havn't done it in what seems like YEARS :p

The house seems pretty clean now. I've doing my best to keep up with the dishes (which I hate) and the laundry (which I hate even more). And I even sorted out a huge pile of paperwork too.

A quick entry before I hit the hay. I got the sippy cups for Abby, I decided to buy a two pack that didn’t have handles. And to my surprise, she just picked it up and started drinking from it like a big girl…I guess she’s more advanced than I thought!

Abby also took her first shaky steps today…unfortunately she fell down before I could grab the camera And her teeth have broken the gums, and they’re working their way out now. She’s gonna be a sippy cup drinkin’, walkin’, talkin’ chewin’ birthday girl!

Talking about that, next Saturday everyone! My big girl will be a toddler! Oooh yeah! (can you tell I’m pretty proud of myself, lol)

Away from Abby, my other obsession…Mister. Ace Young *drool* *faint*. He did a really good version of “In The Still Of The Night” on Tuesday, and now he’s in the Top 10- which means he’s on the CD and also on tour..which means I get to meet him! YAY!! Ace Young Fans is doing pretty good too, we’re about to hire some new mods, so my days won’t be consumed with the computer if I have people to do my work for me. Oooh, I feel like such a corporate fat cat, lol

Wow… March 20, 2006

Abby’s come on in leaps and bounds in the past few days. She has got into everything, can actually eat Cheerios now, hold and drink from her cup by herself and can now almost walk. She has to still hold the table with one hand while she walks along side it, but oh well. Her teeth are starting to break through too. All just before her birthday! Yay!

Since she’s mastered her cup, she’s decided she only likes one of her cups, so I’m going to have to out and find something similar to it. I looked when I was at Toys Rus, but to my surprise they didn’t have a great supply So I think I’m going to try the baby department at Walmart…they always seem to be the best bet

Toys ‘R’ Us March 19, 2006

I finally got around to buying Abby’s birthday present today. Me and my friend went out to Toys R Us and picked it up. I already knew what we were going to be getting her. Luckily, there was one left on the shelf and the box was damaged. So I took it to customer services and asked them if I could get a discount because of the damaged box. The supervisor said that yeah they could knock off 10% for me because it was also the last one in the store and Fisher-Price don’t make the toy anymore. Yay. So I got it for $45 instead of $50. I bought the Fisher-Price IntelliBlock…but now I need to go out and get some C batteries to test it with

I am so slack at posting. I've just been so busy recently that I've not been able to do much else

Abby will be one year old in two weeks! My baby girl gets her first birthday. It's going to be great, we're doing a Care Bear themed birthday. I've even bought three Care Bears to give out as prizes for the party..hehe. And then I'm going to make the cake myself and I have to buy balloons yet and plates and her birthday present too! I love birthdays! They're always better when you're a kid. I remember my best birthday cake ever- my mum made me a gingerbread house out of all these different kinds of sweeties and biscuits. It rocked. I remember there was Polos on there

I have to get this computer fixed, it is driving me crazy with it's weird messages and stuff. So a friend of ours is going to come round on Monday evening and take a look at it for us. Hopefully it won't cost us anything.

Forums and Workouts March 4, 2006

Working on a forum is really hard work. I’m kinda glad I don’t have a full-time job. I was offered a job as an admin on Ace Young Fans in the past two days, and I’ve done barely anything but work on there. Pfff. I’m trying to my hardest to promote this board, but it’s pretty hard work. Especially when we’re competing against a board with over 3,000 members and we’ve only got just over 300. We’ve got a pretty long way to go.

I went to the gym on Wednesday and I have an appointment with A.J the personal trainer. He killed me and I’m only just getting the movement back in my joints. It hurts to walk, to sit, to get up, to lie down in bed. I feel as though I’ve been put back together wrong. I guess I’m just not used to heavy workouts

Sunday will be a nice day. Nick’s mom and sister are going to take Abby in the morning so we can stay in bed and sleep. Hurrah! My first lie-in in almost 12 months! Haha! And then in the evening, I’m going to see David Gray in concert with Nick’s sister. So, I’m looking forward to that!
