Hi, sorry I’ve not blogged in a few days.

Lots of things have happenened recently. Me and Nick are now dating. And it’s all going well so far. We went to see Louis Black last night at Summerfest and he was so funny!!! There were these two guys standing at the back of the theatre, who were wearing massive afro wigs, and Louis said “Do you know what’s wrong with this country?” and the two guys scream out “Kerry!” and everyone boos at them Louis just said “No and now shut the fuck up” and we all cheered him and then they started getting pissy so then security came in and everyone in the theatre started singing “Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye”. It felt like I was at home at the football again

For all those people who have been asking about the pictures I last displayed, they are part of an art collection in Milwaukee that will be auctioned off after Labor Day. They are hippos and cows, and they are called ‘Beastie Beat‘. We had a similar collection here back in 2002, and you can find that collection on the website too

I’m quite bored now. Nick has gone to work, and everyone is going to bed, so it’s going quiet here now and quite boring too

Oh and last night, I went to see Nick at the bar, and it went really well.

And double oh, I just discovered that not only are we dealing with Drunken White Man Fest, we’ve also got Nascar going on this weekend. Great it’s going to be like sardines in a can downtown

Okay so at the moment, I’m sat here at Project Q and just enjoying myself more than anything. The little teen gay boys are all running round creating drama, but now they all seem to have calmed down, and are watching some kind of movie.

But I have good news on the Nick front…

Ali has been bugging me recently to ask Nick on a date. And so I decided to write him a note. It said:

“Hi Nick, Okay I can’t keep this in any longer. I like you. A lot. More than a friend. I was wondering if you wanted to go and movie with me on your next day off. I can’t tell you to your face, because I’m too nervous ans shy. So yeah, I’m a big chicken. Hope you get back to me soon, Nickie x”

And then I was on my way out with Dave, so I never thought about it until I was on the bus on my way home, and then I started to get really nervous. And panicky I got back to my room and found there was a note on the floor with pencil writing on it. So I guessed it was from Nick, ’cause no one else writes in pencil. I opened the letter and it said:

“Nickie,

Yes, I get the drift dear. I was wondering why you always seemed a little nervous around me.My next day off is Monday although I’m going to Summerfest to meet up with some friends. But I have an extra ticket to get in, if you want to go with me, I’d like you to. If not, and your hoping tto get together, just the two of us, I’ll be done with practise and home by 10pm on Thursday night. Or we could even catch a matinee during the week in the afternoon.
So let me know if you want to make it a date on Monday. Oh and by the way, I think it’s cute the way your big brown eyes give away how giddy and nervous you are sometimes

Oh wow. I have had an up-and-down kinda day

Things on the Nick front appear to be going well. He woke up around 2pm, and I was in my room reading a magazine. Because ,my room is right next door to the bathroom, I heard him go in there. So I raced out of my room, and plonked myself in the kitchen, the first place I knew he would go So I’m hanging out in the kitchen, trying to look cool and not like a pathetic school girl with a crush, and he walks in. I had to go out of the room, because I had this unshakeable grin plastered across my face So I come back in about two minutes later, and he’s talking to me about something or other, and everytime looks at me, I can’t help but grin like a loon at him. So I’m thinking “stop it, you’re starting to look pathetic now” but I can’t wipe this stupid grin from my mush

So eventually, I calm down. And he says he has to go back upstairs to get ready to go out. So I go back into my room, and then out again, and then the doorbell rings, and it’s the lovely man from UPS at the door with a parcel of mine. So I sign for it and then come back upstairs again. Henry at this time is just coming out of Michael’s room and he proceeds to pick me up and perve at me (for the gazillionth time). Henry then goes downstairs and I talk to Michael outside the bathroom, while Nick is still in the shower. We talk about random stuff, like how much Nick coughs and hacks away while he’s in the shower (Michael tells me Nick had something like strep throat or mono last winter…makes me want to mother him even more!) and I really want to brush my teeth because my breath stinks and I don’t want to be near Nick with death-breath. So, eventually, he comes out, having shaved his head and his face and taken a shower and been to the toilet. And they claim us women spend too much time in the bathroom! And the conversation goes like this:

Me: “Wow, you spent a long time in there!”
Nick: “Well, you know, I had to shave my head and stuff”
Me: “Hmmm, okay then. (stroking Nick’s head) I’ve been waiting for you to come out so I can clean my teeth”
Nick: “Sorry, dear “
Me: “Oh it’s okay” (said walking to bathroom)
Nick: “Okay then”
Me: (looking at floor) “I bet it’s you who leaves all these puddles of water all over the floor”
Nick: (looking guilty) “Um yup, that would be me “
Me: (making tutting noise)
Nick: (runs off to grab towel) “Here (lays down towel in front of my feet) now you don’t get your socks all wet”
Me: (getting all embarrassed by act of kindness) “Um thanks”

Oh and may I add, all the time he was talking to me, he was standing wearing nothing but his boxers

Ooh ooh! Yay It’s going to be a short post tonight, I guess!

Well, the first thing is, Nick’s okay. I saw him this afternoon and we were talking, and he was telling me how he stayed in his room for most of the afternoon, because he was tired, then he slipped out to meet some friends. So he’s gone to football practise this afternoon and then he’s going to be working at the var tonight. It’s $2 Tuesday, so I’m going to be off down there for a few (and a lame excuse to see Nick I guess) hehe

Blah. I’ve just had one of those days today. I’ve been so bored because it has been raining all day here (again…) and everyone has been either at work or holed up in their rooms Dave went to work, Henry has been walking round with a right bag on, shouting at anyone who gets in his way, Michael has been reading in his room, Lee has been at the lab, Gary has been a slob watching telly for most of the morning/afternoon, Renee has been holed up in her room, Laurie went to work at 1pm, Mike went to work after fixing his car, Booker I saw go off to work earlier this morning and Nick, well I think he drank too much last night and is sleeping it off. I’ve only heard him get up for showers and I’ve heard him coughing, so I know he’s awake occasionaly. And I’ve been up and down the stairs, watching odd bits of telly (Are You Being Served, Keeping Up Appearances, Myth Busters and the local news), and reading my book. I was going to clean house because I was THAT bored, but decided against it when I went outside to sweep the porch and discovered it was chucking it down

So Laurie and I went out to the bar last Thursday We went to Landmark on the East Side and was with her friend Troy, when Laurie pointed out that Nick was at the bar. So, me being a nice person went up and had a chat with him, asking him how he was doing and if he was having a nice night off, etc… He asked me what I was drinking and told me that my next one was on him After that, I went back to the table with my FREE (!) pint of Miller High Life, and told the guys who I’d managed to wangle a free drink About half an hour later, Nick popped up again and started talking to Troy, and was giving me sidewards glances out of the corner of his eye…and winking at me Now, okay, I have a thing for Rob Andy (as if you could ever forget!), but since I met Nick, I like him too Hey, while the cat’s away, the mice will play Besides, me and Rob Andy aren’t actually together anyhoo, so I can flirt with who ever the heck I like! So Nick bought me another drink when he saw my glass was empty, and after that it was closing time (2.30am!) so me, Laurie and Troy all got a cab back home and I went to bed to try and sort out my jumbled thoughts

I decided yesterday to give it a shot, so I left a note on Nick’s door saying, “Hi, you know that drink I owe you, well, when’s your next day off?” and went to bed. This morning, I got a note back saying, “Hi, well tonight is my next night off ,dear, and also Thursday. Sorry about my handwriting, I’m really buzzed”. Which when I think about it must have meant that he was pissed. But I left him another note on his door, saying, “hi Nick, thanks for your reply. How about tonight then? If you can’t make it, then it doesn’t matter Have a good day ” And I havn’t seen him at all today, just heard him clattering around in the bathroom next door to me, and him coughing in his room across the corridor. But the note has gone off the front of his door, so at least that’s good

Hello all.

I can’t type much this morning, as someone else needs to use the phone

Sorry my website has been down for the last couple of days. For some reason, my evil hosting company decided to take my domain offline because I was a few days over payment. Stupid, evil people. But now it’s back up. Hurrah!

I was at Project Q’s 5th Birthday yesterday. It was a lot of fun, but there was this after-party afterwards (duh) and I didn’t go because I was starting to feel really tired all of a sudden So I walked all the way into downtown, taking some pictures while I was at it, because the river looks so pretty at night with all the lights and neon reflecting on to it And then when I got home, I’d managed to forget my keys. Luckily, Michael was in the kitchen, and I managed to catch his eye and he came to open the door for me

Anyhow, as I said, I have to get offline now, so I’m going to go upstairs and take a shower, methinks

4. Bubble gum or mints? Bubble gum. I like Hubba Bubba, especially in that really nice apple flavour!
5. Cake or pie? Pie, especially if it’s either apple or pumpkin!

Me and Dave went traipsing through the woods today It was going to be a fun photography day, but it turned into a day where my eyes constantly streamed, my nose constantly ran, and I kept getting bit by bugs…boooo! It made it much worse when I sprayed my hands with bug repellent because they kept biting my hands What happens when your eyes stream with tears? You use the backs of your hands to wipe them! Yup, you guessed right! As soon as I had done it, my eyes stung so bad, I think I was crying Luckily, Dave was carrying a towel and a bottle of water, so I rinsed out my eyes and cleaned my glasses (which had squashed bug on them…bleaugh!)

Lesson of the Day: Never wipe your eyes with your hands if they have bug repellent on them

So Dave felt guilty, so he took me to Culvers and bought me a soda and then we went to Michaels and he also bought me a little Americana woven basket, a small cross stitch kit and some pretty red, white and blue decorative wire stuff

Just been watching this morning’s Buffy on FX. It’s the one where Dawn thinks that she is the next Potential, but it turns out to be Amanda. Pretty cool, because for a mintute, Dawn was starting to bug me with her big-headedness…grrr
